Product overview

EXOBX® Serum/Plasma Exosome Rapid Purification Kit (Magnetic Beads-Based) (R6310). The kit captures exosomes from serum or plasma with surface-modified magnetic beads after removal of contaminating proteins using Buffer EXH. Protocols are provided for 0.3, 0.5 and 1 mL sample inputs. Bound vesicles are released with Buffer EXE. The handbook reports typical vesicle morphology by TEM and particle characterization by NTA. A refrigerated centrifuge, magnetic stand and rotator are used in the workflow.

Serum and plasma purification

Proportional reagent systems are provided for 0.3, 0.5 and 1 mL sample volumes.

Protein-removal step

Buffer EXH is intended to reduce albumin, globulin and other contaminants before exosome capture.

Characterization evidence

The handbook includes TEM images and a ZetaView NTA report for an extracted plasma sample.

The handbook does not state a nominal preparation count. Confirm the sales pack before ordering. Source: R6310 handbook, pp. 2–6.

Performance & validation

In the reported plasma application, TEM showed vesicles with typical cup-shaped or concave morphology. The embedded ZetaView NTA report lists a number-based median diameter of 108 nm and an original concentration of 4.5 × 10¹⁰ particles/mL for the analyzed preparation. These sample-specific results are not a capture-rate measurement or a guaranteed yield. Source: R6310 handbook, pp. 2–6.

TEM morphology

The application images show cup-shaped or concave vesicles and multiple particles in a low-magnification field.

NTA characterization

The embedded report gives a 108 nm number-based median diameter and 4.5 × 10¹⁰ particles/mL original concentration.

Approximately 2 hours

The handbook reports an approximately 2-hour purification workflow, including a 90-minute binding incubation.

Product FAQs

Does this kit isolate miRNA?

It purifies exosomes. Use a suitable RNA extraction kit to isolate RNA from the recovered vesicles.

What samples are supported?

Serum and plasma, with protocols for 0.3, 0.5 and 1 mL input.

Is the reported particle concentration a recovery rate?

No. Particle concentration and capture/recovery percentage are different measurements; no recovery percentage is supplied.

How many preparations are in one kit?

A nominal count is not stated. The handbook lists reagent volumes and 10 sets of each filter type; confirm the sales pack.

Can I freeze the magnetic beads?

No. Store at 4°C; freezing can inactivate the beads.

Is this product for diagnostic use?

No. For scientific research use only, not diagnostic or clinical procedures.
