Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

SHT Technology GmbH ("we", "us", "our") takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process when you visit sht-medino.de, why we process it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible (Data Controller)

SHT Technology GmbH
Niederhöchstädter Str. 64
61476 Kronberg im Taunus
Germany
Email: info@sht-medino.de

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by SiteGround. When you visit our site, our hosting provider automatically collects technical information in server log files, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, date and time of access. This data is processed to ensure the technical operation and security of the website (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functioning website) and is not merged with any other data source.

3. Cookies

We use the consent management plugin Complianz to manage cookie consent in line with GDPR requirements. Cookies on this site are grouped into three categories:

  • Necessary — required for the website to function (e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice, session handling for browsing the product catalog). These are always active and do not require consent, as they are necessary for operating the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Statistics — would be used to understand how visitors use the site. At present we do not run any statistics/analytics service (e.g. no Google Analytics), so no statistics cookies are currently set.
  • Marketing — would be used for advertising purposes. We do not currently use any marketing/advertising cookies.

Should we introduce statistics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent via the cookie banner before any such cookie is set (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can review or withdraw your cookie consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the website footer.

4. Browsing our product catalog

Our website uses WooCommerce to present our product catalog. The site operates in catalog mode: you can browse products, but there is no online checkout, no payment processing, and no customer account registration. Browsing the catalog does not require you to submit any personal data.

5. Contact and quote request forms

When you submit a contact or "Request Quote" form on this site (powered by WPForms), we collect the information you provide, which may include: your name, company name, email address, phone number, message, and, where applicable, the product name, SKU/catalog number, and product category you are enquiring about.

This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is stored in the WPForms database within our WordPress installation. We do not share, sell, or transfer this data to any third-party service, CRM, or marketing tool. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and, where no contract results, our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. How long we retain your data

Server log data (see Section 2) is retained for a limited period for security purposes and then automatically deleted. Contact/quote form submissions (see Section 5) are retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and in accordance with applicable statutory retention obligations (e.g. German commercial and tax law, where a contract results). You may request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 7.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@sht-medino.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for our registered office is:

Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI)
Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany
