Product overview

LM102112 NUCQX® Magnetic Bead-Based Tissue Genomic DNA Extraction Kit is designed for fresh or frozen animal muscle, internal organs and other tissues. The protocol combines tissue disruption, Proteinase K digestion, magnetic-bead binding, washing and elution. It provides automated and manual extraction procedures and an optional RNase A treatment. Purified extracts can be used for downstream experiments. The workflow avoids phenol and chloroform.

Fresh or frozen tissue

The handbook specifies animal muscle, internal organs and other tissues, with 30–50 mg fresh-weight input in the protocol.

Proteinase K lysis

Proteinase K is included. Tissue lysis is performed at 65°C for 45 minutes before purification.

Optional RNA removal

An optional RNase A step supports workflows requiring RNA removal. RNase A and isopropanol are user-supplied.

Performance & validation

Designed to extract genomic DNA from fresh or frozen animal muscle, internal organs and other tissues. Proteinase K lysis releases nucleic acids for magnetic-bead capture, washing and elution. The handbook describes the eluate as suitable for downstream experiments, with results dependent on the sample and procedure. Source: LM102112 handbook, pp. 2–6.

Animal tissue genomic DNA

The protocol processes 30–50 mg fresh-weight tissue. This is the recommended input amount, not the recovered DNA mass.

Lysis and impurity removal

Proteinase K digestion is followed by magnetic-bead purification. Optional RNase A treatment is provided for RNA removal.

100 µL eluate

Both workflows use 100 µL Elution Buffer. The handbook does not report a numerical DNA capture or recovery rate.

Product FAQs

Which pack should I order for my instrument?

The pack table lists S-16 with 16 T, S-96 with 96 T and S-48 with 100 T bulk. N-96 programmes are provided but its pack mapping is unclear; confirm before ordering.

How much tissue is recommended?

Use 30–50 mg fresh-weight animal tissue and follow the disruption and lysis procedure.

Is 45 minutes the total extraction time?

No. It is the tissue lysis incubation. Sample disruption, purification and elution require additional time.

Are Proteinase K and RNase A included?

Proteinase K is included. RNase A for optional RNA removal and isopropanol must be supplied separately.

How should I store the kit and eluate?

Store the kit at 10–30°C for up to 12 months. The handbook specifies −20°C for longer-term eluate storage.

Is the kit intended for diagnostic use?

No. It is for scientific research use only, not diagnostic or clinical procedures.
