Product overview

NUCQX® Magnetic Bead-Based Fecal and Soil Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (LM102150) uses functional magnetic beads to capture nucleic acids from lysed samples. Washing removes proteins and other impurities before DNA elution. The kit supports environmental and microbial samples, with dedicated NanoMagBio instrument programmes and a manual magnetic-rack protocol.

Broad sample scope

Supports soil, feces, wastewater, sediment, microbial cultures and water-filter membranes.

Flexible formats

Pre-dispensed plates support designated extractors; bulk reagents support manual or compatible automated workflows.

Mechanical and thermal lysis

Grinding and thermal pretreatment support challenging matrices. No phenol or chloroform is required.

16 T plates: S-16/S-48; 96 T and 96 T × 4 plates: S-96/N-96. Bulk formats support manual extraction and compatible automated systems. Source: LM102150 handbook, pp. 2–3.

Performance & validation

The handbook describes manual and automated extraction workflows across multiple sample types. It provides no numerical DNA-yield or purity benchmark. Results depend on matrix, instrument and technique; water-soluble impurities may remain. Source: LM102150 handbook, pp. 3–7.

Sample flexibility

Environmental solids, microbial cultures and water-filter membranes are covered by the handbook.

Automation options

Dedicated programmes are provided for S-96, S-48/S-16 and N-96.

Manual alternative

Bulk reagents can be processed using a bench-top magnetic rack.

Product FAQs

Which pack format fits my workflow?

Use 16 T plates for S-16/S-48 or 96 T plates for S-96/N-96. Bulk formats support manual or compatible automated extraction.

Is sample pretreatment still required with pre-dispensed plates?

Yes. Grinding, lysis and clarification are performed before loading the cleared lysate.

How should the kit be stored?

Store RNase A at −20 ± 5°C and other components at 10–30°C. Shelf life is 12 months.

Is a fixed DNA yield guaranteed?

No. Recovery and impurities depend on the sample matrix, instrument and technique.

Is this product for diagnostic use?

No. It is for research use only.
