Product overview

EXOBX® Magnetic EV/Tissue/Plasma miRNA Kit (R1309). Specially encapsulated magnetic beads and a dedicated buffer system bind miRNA under controlled conditions, remove proteins and other impurities by washing, and release the purified RNA into RNase-free water. The kit supports tissue, serum/plasma and exosome samples. Manual procedures and automated-platform guidance are supplied, including an example for TGuide S16.

Multiple sample types

Protocols cover tissue, serum/plasma and exosome preparations within one kit.

Manual or automated processing

Compatible platforms listed include Kingfisher Flex96, TGuide S32 Pro and TGuide S16.

Downstream RNA applications

The handbook describes purified miRNA as suitable for downstream assays and NGS analysis.

Performance & validation

The handbook describes magnetic-bead isolation of miRNA from tissue, serum/plasma and exosome samples, with purification intended to reduce protein and other impurities. It supports manual processing and compatible automated platforms, and lists downstream assays and NGS use. Numerical miRNA recovery, yield and purity datasets are not provided. Source: R1309 handbook, pp. 2–5.

miRNA capture

Dedicated buffers enable nucleic acid binding to the magnetic beads and release during elution.

Defined sample inputs

The manual protocol uses 15 mg tissue or 100–200 µL liquid sample, with an 800 µL scale-up example.

50–100 µL eluate

Purified miRNA is eluted in RNase-free water for downstream work. Elution volume is not a recovery-rate measurement.

Product FAQs

Does this kit purify intact exosomes?

No. It isolates miRNA from tissue, serum/plasma or exosome samples.

Which equipment can be used?

A manual magnetic stand or a compatible extractor such as Kingfisher Flex96, TGuide S32 Pro or TGuide S16.

Do I add ethanol before use?

Yes. Add absolute ethanol to RDH and RWA according to the bottle labels; ethanol is user supplied.

What elution volume should I use?

50–100 µL RNase-free water; the manual specifies a minimum of 50 µL. Store purified miRNA at −80°C.

Are automated plate positions consistent?

The loading table and later wash/elution positions differ. Confirm the corrected instrument programme before automated use.

Is this product for diagnostic use?

No. For scientific research use only, not diagnostic or clinical procedures.
